The Northern Nevada Sheet Metal Apprenticeship is located in Sparks, NV. Our program is a four-year commitment that combines paid on-the-job training with a comprehensive benefits package and classroom instruction. Graduates of our program are recognized as highly skilled craftsmen shaping the future of the sheet metal trade.

Steps to Apply

Step 1 – Submit an Application

Step 2 – Contact SMART Local 26 Union Hall

  • Reach out to a Local 26 Organizer

  • Learn about current work forecasts, entry-level opportunities, and next steps

Step 3 – Attend Pre-Membership Meeting

  • When: Last Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM

  • Where: JATC Training Center, 1237 Gator Way, Sparks, NV

  • Who: Union Hall Organizer and JATC Coordinator will be present

  • Purpose: Review applicant status, clarify the indenturement process, and keep applicants informed

  • RSVP: Pre-Membership Meeting RSVP

Step 4 – Wait for Review and Acceptance

  • Once your application is complete, documents are submitted, and you’ve attended the Pre-Membership Meeting, you’ll be placed on the employment waiting list.

  • Positions are filled as they become available, and you will be contacted if selected.
